How an inspection is carried out

01

Defining the criteria

We define the assessment criteria on the basis of the applicable requirements and agree the scope of services.

02

Documentary review

Review of the documentation submitted and comparison against the applicable requirements.

03

Documentary comparison

Documenting the findings, non-conformities and limitations, and delivering the report.

04 · Scope and legal basis

What you should know

When it is best to inspect
  • Before the works begin — conformity assessment of the cost estimate before the contract is concluded;
  • During the works — comparison of the cost estimate with the actual situation;
  • After completion — a documented assessment that provides an objective basis for discussion between the parties.

Scope of services

  • The inspection result is based on the scope of assessment, the methods applied and the evidence collected.
  • The company does not perform the works it independently inspects, nor does it take part in the design of the facility.
  • Mandatory requirements are neither altered nor reduced by agreeing the scope of services.
  • An inspection does not imply a predetermined favourable conclusion and provides no guarantee of an administrative decision.
